Eagles ’92 & ’94 Premiership players: Bombers’ alleged PED use a “blight on the game”

The West Coast Eagles’ 1992 and 1994 premiership winning squads have weighed-in on the Essendon Football Club’s performance enhancing drugs crisis, labeling the Bombers’ alleged use of the banned substance Thymosin Beta-4 as both “not within the spirit of” and a “blight on the game”.

“We don’t really know how that club can look itself in the mirror and respect its accomplishments over the period in question” dual premiership captain John Worsfold read from the prepared statement.  ”To know that we… I mean they denied honest competitors well-deserved victories is something that keeps us… f*ck… that will keep them up at night for decades to come.”

After pausing for composure, Worsfold continued. “Most of all, we can’t fathom why a club would try something so stupid in the current climate of rigorous testing and at a time when the really good sh!t from Eastern Europe is just so hard to come by.”
